Weight Loss is about realigning your mind with your body to produce the results you desire. At Mindset, you get as much or as little help that you need. We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all, pre-planned approach to losing weight. Everything we do is customized specifically for you.
Understanding the human body and the issues involved in weight loss are often more complicated than a simple "calories in-calories out" approach. Weight loss can involve many factors, including the right types of exercise, good nutritional balance, and the right thoughts and behaviors that support healthy weight goals. When one of these areas is out of sync, it affects the whole body, and thus affects your results. We believe that weight loss is centered around 3 important areas:

When choosing a weight loss program, one must consider the methods as well as the source. Most "diet" based programs are very restrictive and can be dangerous. Some even cause the metabolism to slow down or put extra stress on the liver and kidneys. Often, these diets cause temporary results with the participant gaining the weight back (plus a few extra pounds)!
Exercise based programs can be very helpful, but without continued motivation and good eating guidance, weight loss can be extremely slow. Understanding which exercises are appropriate your your body and at what level of intensity are critical to success. Without that understanding, people can get injured or frustrated.
Even drastic surgical approaches can fail. While people undoubtedly lose weight after weight loss surgery, without the changes in the psychological and physical relationship to food and activity, people can eventually gain the weight back. We've worked with many people who have had this unfortunate experience.
Using meditation or hypnosis by itself may change some behaviors, but without the right guidance in the physical and nutritional areas, even those methods may fail. The most through approach is to address the physical, mental, and nutritional elements together in a sensible manner that promotes a permanent lifestyle change.
